LCD

It's the new technology that is more or less making plasmas a thing of the past. Whether or not they are worth the higher price is a matter of personal preference.

Plasma is of higher quality - but more expensive. And no, plasma's are not a thing of the past considering they've been around just as long as LCD. Though originally designed back in the 90s - they didn't reach the market with the quality they have now until around the time lcds did.

for me it's LCD for computers - and plasma anything else. If plasma's have become a thing of the past - then why are plasma's still the top sellers for every major television purchase?

Just look up google - "LCD or Plasma"

"Plasma TVs are the current size champions, particularly when comparing TVs that consumers can easily purchase. LCDs are catching up in size with their developing technology, however, and may surpass Plasmas in the near future. This may be due to difficulties in producing glass large enough for larger plasmas."

It all depends what your fancy is. Where you need it - or for what you want it.

I choose LCD just for the fact that it will last longer than the plasma but for future technology, I think DLP has more potential than both LCD and Plasma.

If you hang on a little longer, there's something even better around the corner.

SED TV.
